REPRESENTATIONS

The representations of the body on the ancient Greek and Cypriot vases, reliefs and sculptures, becomes the starting point for a dance voyage.
We attempt to decipher and bring back to life the movement vocabulary that has been frozen / arrested in time, but remains alive within us, as these poses and gestures, are moments of life, experienced then as they are today.
Looking at and embodying myths and archetypes we discover a part of ourselves. The image becomes a window towards a personal interior landscape, as well as to a landscape of collective memory.
Myths and stories come to find us or we go to meet them, and through them to narrate our own stories!
